Thank you for your understanding.
1. Do you not bulkbill anymore?
Ans: Yes we do. But not always. We are still trying to and are bulk billing many of our consultations. Only some of the consultations might be charged. But you can ask your doctor whether you will be charged or/bulk billed. We are still trying to keep it bulk billed as much as possible.
2. When will I be charged?
Ans: you may be charged for any new condition you are visiting the doctor for. Follow up consultations wont be charged. Care plans wont be charged. Some of the paperwork may be charged ex: commercial driver's licence, Clearance to go to work, insurance paperwork, etc.
Missed appointments without prior notice will be charged.
3. How much will I be charged?
The charges of eth consultation is $20 for consultations. You will be charged the medicare charge + $20 and you will get a rebate from medicare directly into your account. Unfortunately Medicare does not allow us to charge you separately the $20 . Hence you have to pay the whole amount.
We are now providing flu vaccinations for all patients. Patients with pension cards, health care cards and children under the age of five (5) are receive the vaccine for free under the National Immunisation Program (NIP).
Bookings are essential so please ensure to book an appointment to get the flu shot. Please arrive no more than 5 minutes prior to your appointment as due to social distancing laws, our surgery can only have 10 patients in at any one time.
