This means that all patients with a valid Medicare card can access eligible medical services at no out-of-pocket cost. Simply present your Medicare card at reception, and our team will take care of the billing directly with Medicare — ensuring accessible, high-quality healthcare for everyone in Townsville and surrounding suburbs. Please note that some non-Medicare eligible procedures, such as iron infusions, may incur a fee. If you're unsure whether your service is covered, our friendly staff will be happy to assist.

2026 Flu Vaccinations Available
Flu vaccines are now available at Health and Wellbeing Wulguru, and we're encouraging our patients to book in. Last year Queensland endured its worst flu season in a decade, during what was the nation's worst flu season on record.
The Townsville Public Health Unit and the Queensland Government strongly urge locals to get their annual influenza vaccination as soon as possible. The flu vaccine is free for all Queenslanders aged six months and older.
