Dr Satya Pulavarthy is now available for Medical Cannabis consultations at Health and Wellbeing Wulguru.
Dr Satya provides compassionate, evidence-based care for patients who may benefit from Medical Cannabis treatment options for a range of chronic and complex health conditions, including:
• Chronic pain
• Anxiety and mental health conditions
• PTSD
• Sleep disorders and insomnia
• Cancer-related symptoms
• Palliative care
• Other eligible chronic medical conditions
Our clinic is a fully bulk billing practice for patients with a valid Medicare card, including Medical Cannabis consultations where eligible Medicare items apply.
Initial consultations are conducted in person and are scheduled as 30-minute appointments to allow adequate time for assessment and discussion. Ongoing follow-up appointments may be available via telehealth when clinically appropriate.
Dr Satya is an independently authorised prescriber working through approved TGA pathways, allowing eligible patients access to regulated Medical Cannabis treatments in accordance with Australian guidelines.
Please note that Medical Cannabis may not be suitable for every patient. All treatment options and eligibility are assessed individually by the doctor based on your medical history, current conditions, and clinical needs.

Simply present your Medicare card at reception, and our team will take care of the billing directly with Medicare — ensuring accessible, high-quality healthcare for everyone.
Please note that some non-Medicare eligible procedures, such as iron infusions, may incur a fee. If you’re unsure whether your service is covered, our friendly staff will be happy to assist.

Dr Jay has been a general practitioner in Townsville since 2005 and has provided ongoing comprehensive health care in a patient-centered manner. He has a passion for Indigenous health, paediatric care and prevention of chronic diseases.
Dr Saputra has been working for the last 8 years in Australia as a general practitioner. He speaks fluent English and Bahasa Indonesia. He is well known with our family patients for his balloon creations which always bring joy to the kids he attends to.
Dr Pavani enjoys all aspects of general practice, with a special interest in women’s and children’s health. She is passionate about family planning, preconception and pregnancy care, women’s preventive health (including cervical screening), infant and child health, and sexual health.
Dr Damith comes with decades of medical experience , including work in ICU, NICU and Anaesthesia at one of the world’s largest hospitals. His interests include general and family medicine, skin cancer checks, men’s health and chronic disease management.
An experienced General Practitioner with over 19 years of clinical practice across Australia and internationally. He provides holistic, patient-centred care for individuals and families, with special interests in chronic disease management, skin cancer checks, men’s health, children’s health, immunisations and minor procedures.
An experienced General Practitioner with over 16 years of clinical experience, providing comprehensive and patient-focused care. He takes a whole-person approach to health, with interests in chronic disease management, skin cancer checks, men’s and children’s health, aged care, immunisations, travel medicine and minor procedures.
Dr Ahmed is a General Practitioner with over 15 years of international experience across family medicine and occupational health. He brings a patient-centred approach to care, with a special interest in chronic disease management, men's and children's health, preventative health, and minor surgical procedures. Dr Ahmed speaks English and Arabic.
